 How does this product compare to other products you’ve tried? This new revised CarScan tool that comes with access to a few apps is helpful in finding fault codes, along with a parts directory that you can order parts to perform the fix yourself, or to have codes before you drop at a mechanic. It provides some assurances the mechanic is being truthful and not just trying to upsell you on parts you don't need. Older scanners are bigger, bulkier, more expensive as well. This is an affordable solution & I would absolutely buy a few of these to keep in my vehicles along with having a spare in my tool box at home. I would also recommend to friends and family that are mechanically inclined and like to make repairs themselves.

This is such a cool product! No needed struggles in finding what's wrong with a car. It's literally plug and play. They include a QR code for the app which is intuitive yet robust. I can't express how much of a break through it is not having to deal with an overly complicated, can never understand reader. This is so intuitive anyone can use this and understand what's going on. It's just the plug in piece so you can easily store this within your vehicle and whip it out whenever you need it. You could even just keep this plugged in so all you got to do it open the app when that ole reliable starts acting up. Very happy with this product and will be recommending this to all my car buddies!”
