Is the RepairSolutions2 App Required To Use?

While our RepairSolutions2 app is very useful, it is not required to use at all! 100% optional and your Innova scanner will work well without it. Our dongle-based scanners are an exception.

That said, here are some benefits you can reap with our app.

Free Fix Advice

When you connect your scanner with our app, you’ll be able to see a fix advice for your exact diagnostic trouble code (DTC). These fix suggestions have been verified by ASE certified technicians. Better yet, it has been cross-referenced across millions of vehicles based on our internal database.

Innova is the owner of one of the world’s largest automotive fix databases, and you can tap into this knowledge base just by using our app. You can gain insight into the following per main DTC:

With our fix advice, not only do we tell you what the most likely fix is for your DTC, but we also provide you direct links to the necessary vehicle parts. A single tap will lead to your favorite retailer’s website to purchase from. You’re able to customize which retailer to purchase from (Autozone, O’Reilly’s, Advance Auto, Amazon, etc.)

Of course, if you’re an experienced mechanic, this feature probably isn’t too useful for you. But for the average DIYer? It’s a great asset.

Save Unlimited Scans

This is one of our most popular features - saving unlimited scans directly to your phone. It’s accessible anytime, anywhere.

Vehicle Care

The app is great for overall vehicle care & upkeep! We have 6 useful features that a lot of our current app users enjoy.

Maintenance & Predicted Repair

Based on the vehicle information you input, we analyze it with our internal data and provide you maintenance & repair recommendations at the next X mileage.

For example, if you have a 2016 Ford F-150 at 80,000 miles, we have access to millions of other vehicles with a similar vehicle profile as yours. We then analyze such data, have our ASE Master Techs review it, and provide you maintenance suggestions at the next 90,000 miles.

We also provide you probability percentages of certain vehicle parts failing within the next 12 months. Based on our internal data, we give you a list of repairs that’ll most likely be required, as well as cost estimates. This helps you perform preventive maintenance, which in turn can save you heaps of money. Don’t wait till the problem occurs!

Again, all of this information is proprietary to Innova. We’re one of the world’s largest holders of automotive diagnostic data.

TSB & Recalls

Technical service bulletins (TSBs) are repair guides issued directly by vehicle manufacturers. This is especially useful as they outline repair instructions for known problems, and it comes directly from the horse’s mouth. So it’s as accurate as it can get.

This information usually isn’t accessible by the public and reserved for service technicians, but we provide it to you for free!

Not only that, we also provide free recall information based on the vehicle you input. If you’re due a free repair, you deserve to know as soon as possible.

Warranty

This information is readily available online, but we made it easy for you and included this information in the app.

We incorporated a fun tool for you to play around with! With this calculator, you can estimate how much you’ll spend on your vehicle over the span of 5 years.

Conclusion

If you own an Innova scanner, we highly encourage you to try it out at least once! Again, it’s not mandatory to use for our handheld OBD2 scanners, but it can be an extremely useful asset. It’s currently the highest rated repair app in the United States (May 2024), and it’s not exactly an easy feat to achieve that.
